Magna's 800V eDrive offers a highly efficient primary or complementary drive for battery electric vehicles in the C, D, and E segments. It incorporates advanced technologies to reduce weight and size compared to previous generations. It features a 90° rotation around the drive axis for improved integration and utilizes Magna's next-gen High-Voltage Embedding SiC power module for higher efficiency. With a weight of only 75 kg and a 29% reduction in z dimension, it is easily integrated into the vehicle's space. The system achieves over 93% efficiency in real-world driving and can be equipped with eDecoupling and park lock for increased flexibility. The new eDrives also contribute to sustainability by requiring less aluminum and rare earth materials, reducing CO2 emissions during production by approximately 20%.
